Kurt nodded, unable to think of much else to say. He didn't want Finn to have been there. He wanted it to not have happened. He hated that Mercedes would be waking up to this news - he had written her the most concise and least alarming message possible - and he hated that the Glee chat group was buzzing constantly right now, wanting updates.
Updates on Blaine. He hated that he wasn't by Blaine's side yet. He hated that Blaine could have died today, not knowing that he was forgiven. Not knowing that Kurt already knew that they would be together again one day, just because he was trying to be sensible. Waiting with getting together until things were more certain.
Nothing felt certain now. "...how much further is it?"
He had to see Blaine. "If I have to say that I'm his husband to get in, go along with it. We had a winter fairy-tale themed wedding. Think Narnia meets Ice Queen." He had a vision. "With a dash of Nutcracker."
"What's a Narnia?" Finn asked and then paused, nodding his head a little. "Oh, wait - it's that thing with Indian food. I like Indian food." A weird theme for a wedding, winter, christmas and spicy food but he was down. He would back his brother up. "We'll get you in there, you watch me. Even if I have to distract them like in an action movie."
Finn turned off the highway and started going down the main road to the hospital. "Given I ran like three red lights - should be there in five minutes. Maybe less." He was really gunning it here. It was kinda fun in a horrible way.
"I know what floor and room so we can just go straight there."
"Narnia is a fantasy world in a book series abou-- We will watch the mini series, yes? Remind me." That was better than trying to explain this right now. He just had his vision of his beautiful, handsome, perfect Blaine on a throne with an ostentatious white fur - obviously fake - cloak and it did sustain him until they reached the hospital at long last.
Kurt ran after Finn, whose way too long legs meant that he had to run in order to keep up, dashing down the hallway. When they were in the elevator, Kurt stared at himself in the mirror. Damn, he had forgotten about the yellow shirt. Maybe he could change into it later. For now he was horrified at the drabness of his outfit almost as much as the general lack of style. He twisted his body a little, glancing down. Well. At leas this ass looked good in these leggings.
And then they were down yet another hallway, reached a door, and Kurt walked through. Sam was seated by Blaine's bedside, clearly mid-impression, and Will stood nearby, smiling at them both but immediately hugging Finn.
"Furt!" Sam called out in excitement and Kurt didn't even register it. He rushed to Blaine's side, falling on one knee and wrapping his arms around him, only barely remembering to be careful, given everything.

Now he started crying.
