Blaine wrapped his arms around Edward, feeling his anxiety just coming off him in waves. He wasn't a good brother, to put Ed through all of this. "I'm so sorry. I didn't know what to do. It got worse before I even realised and he checked my phone all the time, I couldn't reach out. I'm glad Kurt did."
At the sock, he blushed and then slapped his brother in annoyance. "That's not gonna happen. You're so silly sometimes." He smiled a little, hating that when he smiled, it hurt. His face was so sore.
While the brothers had their tender moment, Jonathan had taken the phone from Kurt and was still ordering. "So you don't make fried eggs... can you just give me a carton of eggs then? ... Yes, I can pay for that. Of course that isn't all, I've barely started. So the chicken - how many of those can you send in delivery? Uh-huh. Yeah. And it's fried, right? Oh. Okay, good. I'll take like 5."
"...how many people is Jonathan feeding," Kurt asked Blaine, uncertain. He was still holding his hand. Edward laughed, shrugging.
"He's a black hole." He took a few steps to the freezer, checked it for a cool pack and then wrapped that in a dish towel, so he could hand it to Blaine. Grandma was prepared, apparently. "Go cuddle in bed, yeah? I'll call you when the food is here."
"Might need more than one delivery truck," Kurt pointed out as he led Blaine into the room Edward had pointed out. The idea of being alone and just holding each other was very appealing right now.
